Description of the Retreat

Feeling low can be isolating and without hope. We offer an all-inclusive retreat in the stunning Highlands of Scotland with life-changing results.

Throughout the year we offer weekly Zoom meetings.

We offer support to develop your spiritual life with the Secret Spirits programme as part of teaching resiliency tools to show people a route out of depression. Our weekly Zoom meetings and retreats promise to provide not just temporary relief but a transformation. The Secret Spirits programme heals with the power of prayer or meditation, teaching you the tools to be your own therapist and encouraging the support of fellow retreat members and networks. No one is meant to suffer depression for life.

Secret Spirits retreats offer stimulation of all senses from taste, sound, to movement and singing which reduces the adrenalin/cortisol anxiety system and allows people to think without feeling threatened or ashamed, therefore accessing the problem solving mind. This gives hope, resiliency skills and a space to heal.

People may arrive on the retreat in a bad place, and then the safety of the house, the log fires, the warmth, the home made food and non-judgemental atmosphere all help to create a safe place to reflect, engage with one another and appreciate what life can offer. We hope members are open to a Christian understanding of God.

There is yoga and massage for all, or as an extra on the short retreats. The retreat includes walks and outings in the stunning Highlands of Scotland each afternoon to offer an opportunity to reconnect with nature. There is simple but rewarding art and singing, and other opportunities including a Highland evening with fiddlers and songs around the fire on the last day.
