Limehouse Yoga

We have a beautiful studio here on the north coast of Cornwall, only a short walk from the beach and ideally situated between Perranporth, Newquay and Truro. Having spent several years renovating the house and studio, we have created a space that is calm and inspiring. Set in beautifully landscaped gardens with stunning sea and country views, our purpose built yoga studio has underfloor heating, outdoor decking and lawn space where we regularly do classes during the summer months.

We believe in what we do and we believe that what we do can change the world we live in. Cornwall is a beautiful place and we feel blessed to live here so minimising our impact on natural environment and making ethical choices about how we do business is important to us.

We run yoga retreats throughout the year and bring our own special blend of yoga, amazing food, therapies and relaxation to each one. Whether it’s a yogic immersion for advanced practitioners looking to deepen their practice or complete relaxation you are after, we cater for them all. Combining yoga with the most nourishing food and holistic therapies, our students leave relaxed, grounded ready to face the world. Everyone needs looking after and that’s what our retreats are designed to do…mind, body and soul.

You’ll stay in ‘The Retreat’ our luxury retreat centre, which is located opposite the yoga studio and whilst here have access to a range of amazing therapies from our hand-picked (and tried and tested!) therapists. You’ll be nurtured with fresh, organic, vegetarian food and all dietary requirements are catered for.

Our studio is insulated with sheep’s wool and hemp and the underfloor heating is provided by a log boiler using wood we harvest ourselves from our own woodland. We also have solar thermal providing hot water in the warmer months.

There are amazing charities and social enterprises in Cornwall who are making a huge difference to the world and the people around us. And because we want to “be the change we want to see in the world”, we donate 5% of our annual profit to handpicked local charities who we think are changing the world.

As well as our charity profit share, we regularly support local charities with free classes, studio donation and other lovely things. If you run a local group or charity and you think we could help please get in touch, we’d love to work with you.

The Retreat is located across the road from Lime House Yoga studio with stunning views towards Holywell Bay. Set in a large garden with sea and country views, The Retreat sleeps up to 12 people in twin and double rooms and is the perfect yoga and holiday destination.

The Retreat has a large social area/sitting room and is furnished with games, books, iPod/phone speakers and a TV/DVD player. The dining room seats 12 and leads out into a sheltered terraced garden space. With a large kitchen, where guests are welcome to help themselves to tea, coffee, cold drinks and healthy snacks, there is also room to sit and eat, relax or catch up on emails. We have a downstairs cloakroom and plenty of space to put shoes, wellies and coats in the large hallway and front porch. The Retreat has Wi-Fi in all rooms and there is plenty of parking with space for up to 8 cars.

The Retreat is located between Perranporth and Newquay and looks out towards Holywell Bay. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, you can walk to St Pirans Oratory, Holywell Bay or The Smugglers Den, our local pub which serves great food and local ales. A short drive away is Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant, stunning coastline, the cathedral city of Truro and local National Trust gardens.

The food we serve at The Retreat is organic, colourful, healthy and most importantly tastes amazing. We are passionate about supporting our local food suppliers and growing our own produce in our vegetable garden and polytunnel. Predominantly vegan, we love trying new recipes so that no two days are the same.

Breakfast will be a buffet including freshly made fruit and vegetable juices, homemade granola, fresh bread, fruit, porridge and natural yoghurt. Lunch comprises homemade soups, with fresh bread and dips. Dinner will depend on what’s in season and what the weather is like. We might warm you up with freshly spiced curries, mixed vegetable paella, mushroom risotto, chickpea/aubergine mousakka, spinach and feta filo pie or cool you down with roasted veg/garlic tart, sweet potato falafels and dips served with a selection of our salads – roasted carrot, beetroot and fennel, vegan coleslaw, Asian spiced kale or tabouleh. Dessert could be poached pears, elderflower and pistachio drizzle cake, raw chocolate cheesecake or a good old-fashioned apple crumble.

During the day, guests are able to help themselves to hot and cold drinks and healthy snacks including fresh and dried fruit, nuts and toasted seeds. We cater for all possible dietary requirements including; vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, gluten/wheat free, nut allergies and sugar free.
