More about the Experience:

Our retreat is designed for those passionate about adventure, hiking, food, culture, and nature. Set in a charming villa, deep in nature and away from crowds, this intimate retreat is limited to a maximum of 6 guests, ensuring a personal and authentic experience.

You’ll explore stunning hiking trails, enjoy fresh mountain air and stroll through medieval villages. Culinary experiences are central to this retreat, featuring both home-cooked meals and local dining. You’ll also embark on an exclusive tour of a biodynamic vineyard and taste their exceptional wines.

The Villa:

The base for all activities is a stunning, old farmhouse that offers a unique and peaceful retreat for those seeking a rejuvenating holiday. With extraordinary views from the house, terrace, and pool, you’ll gaze upon rolling hills stretching all the way to the sea.

This original farmhouse, with its added rooms over the years, has been recently renovated to a high standard. Inside, you’ll find a contemporary yet personal feel, while the exterior retains the charm of a classic Provençal home.

The Hikes:

Over four days, you’ll hike beautiful trails through forests, lavender fields and along mountain peaks, offering a truly immersive experience in the wild beauty of Provence. Hikes range from 4 to 8 hours each day, often with steep ascents and descents, so prior mountain trekking experience is recommended.

The Food:

Throughout our journey, we’ll savour the flavours of Provence by dining in local restaurants and eating seasonal organic food at the villa. Food is a cornerstone of our cultural hiking holiday, and we take great pride in offering a delightful gastronomic experience.

Activities:

Wine Tour: Visit a nearby biodynamic vineyard to learn about winemaking and sample exceptional local wines.

Medieval Village Exploration: Wander through picturesque medieval villages, discovering their unique charm and history.

Beach Day: After one of our hikes we spend the afternoon at the beach where you are free to relax or wander around.

Fayence Village Market: Enjoy breakfast at the lively Fayence market, browsing local produce and handmade goods, sometimes with a live gypsy jazz performance right in front of you.

Join us for an unforgettable holiday that balances adventure, culture, and relaxation in the heart of Provence. Discover the true essence of this enchanting region while enjoying fantastic food, incredible hikes, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Facilities

The base for all activities is a stunning, old farmhouse that offers a unique and peaceful retreat for those seeking a rejuvenating holiday. With extraordinary views from the house, terrace, and pool, you'll gaze upon rolling hills stretching all the way to the sea.

This original farmhouse, with its added rooms over the years, has been recently renovated to a high standard. Inside, you'll find a contemporary yet personal feel, while the exterior retains the charm of a classic Provençal home.

Perched 600 meters above sea level, the location is perfect for the hotter months, as the evenings cool down to a comfortable temperature. During winter, a traditional log burner keeps the house warm and cozy, complemented by electric wall-mounted heaters in every room for extra warmth if needed.

The surrounding land is adorned with numerous fruit and olive trees. Depending on the season, you might enjoy fresh figs, plums, mulberries, cherries, and lemons. The wild forest behind and around the house stretches for miles, teeming with colourful butterflies, and occasionally, you might spot wild boar, deer, or hear owls calling at dusk.

From the large outdoor terrace, the views are incredibly beautiful, with the rolling hills of Provence extending to the sea visible on clear days. Imagine sipping a locally produced organic rosé at the end of a rewarding day hiking in the mountains, with such a spectacular view—it's a truly special moment.

Food

Ah, the food! There's something magical about the cuisine in this part of the world. Perhaps it's the rich soil, or the French passion for culinary excellence, but the flavours here are simply unforgettable. Food is a cornerstone of our cultural hiking holiday, and we take great pride in offering a delightful gastronomic experience.

Home-Cooked Meals
During your stay, we will be preparing a variety of French and Provençal recipes. Our menus will change with the seasons, ensuring that we use the freshest ingredients available. We work with local producers and almost without exception, we source organic produce to create delicious, wholesome meals. You'll be eating mostly traditional dishes that reflect the culinary heritage of this beautiful area.

Dining Out
To complement our home-cooked meals, we'll also dine out for one breakfast, one lunch, and one dinner during our trip. The local restaurants are exceptional, offering a range of incredible dishes that showcase the best of Provençal cuisine.

Food in Provence
The menus here are often rich in meat and fish, reflecting the local culinary traditions. While vegan options can be limited, the chefs in this region are generally accommodating and considerate of dietary preferences and restrictions. We strive to incorporate a variety of dishes, but please be aware that many of the classic and local recipes feature meat and fish.

Dietary Accommodations
Before the trip begins, please inform us of any dietary restrictions or preferences you have. We want to ensure that every meal is enjoyable and suitable for you. Whether you're avoiding certain foods or have specific dietary needs, we'll do our best to accommodate and create a delicious experience for everyone.
