Description of the Retreat

There is so much that we as Mums and Nurturers give to those we love. To be fully present with others, it is, essential we take time for ourselves to refill our cups – in the end, our kids don’t want the perfect Mum, they want a happy one!

Join us for 7 days and nights at the beautiful Shambala retreat centre in Golden Bay to connect with yourself, nature and other conscious Mums.

We bring our experience as Mums, teachers, bodyworkers and coaches to create an experience of nurturing body, mind and soul.

This retreat is an opportunity to pause, breathe and release what no longer serves you, a space to be inspired and connect with yourself and your visions. We invite you to relax, connect with other Mums, have fun – and fill your cup, so you can return home a fuller and brighter version for yourself and your families.

We have designed a holistic experience for you:

With yoga and meditation techniques we move energy around the body and support you in finding both power as well as breathing space.
We care for your body with personalised bodywork sessions, and we share powerful coaching techniques to nourish and develop yourself.

There will be ample quiet time for contemplation and inner work, including: meditation, journaling, walks on the beach and FUN excursions.

No experience required, no pressure!

Teacher/Teachings

The Retreat is co-facilitated by Debora & Stefanie, the founders of Soul-Mama:

Debora is a homeschooling mum, co-parenting a wonderful 7 year old girl, Sophia. She is a yoga teacher, a massage therapist and acroyoga teacher. Her passion for yoga came about in my late 20s when a sense of dissatisfaction with society's values and a sense of adventure brought me to travel the world for years, to different cultures. She asked deeper questions about the meaning of it all. She came across Jnana Yoga and that initiated my journey inwards. Yoga has been an invaluable tool in shading layers and lenses of the ego that no longer served her.
Motherhood has been such a crash course to applying the philosophy and yogic techniques to the everyday life. She is on an ongoing journey of balancing my energy amongst work, homeschooling, parenting and self-nurturing. Growing up in a small town in Italy Deb spent her teenage years living and volunteering in a self-catering hotel where she has been inspired by so many travellers from different corners of the world. She is an adventurer, a traveller of the soul; she has been dealing with PTSD and divorce.
Yoga and meditation have been invaluable tools on her journey of self-healing. Deb love teaching and sharing her passions. Her daughter and acroyoga have brought playfulness in her life again and almost in my 40s now she have never felt so strong and at home in my body and mind.

Steph is a Mum of two beautiful young children, a devoted partner, a sister. She is a business owner, entrepreneur, executive coach, strategist. She is a yoga teacher, bodyworker, event organiser.

Steph's life is about connection, community, beautiful food, lots of movement and self-development.

“My passion in life is transformation – through movement, touch, coaching. With an open mind and curiosity, I love discovering the uniqueness of bodies: We are all on our journey at our own pace, and our bodies today are an expression of past and current movement patterns & events.
I truly believe, that, respecting the current individual state, yoga can be for everyone. In my classes, I strive to create a loving and safe environment with a healthy balance between workout, fun, discovery and relaxation. I love practising and sharing different styles of movement - from Vinyasa to AcroYoga and Yin, each tradition has its own gems."

We are honoured and excited to share this facilitation space with Linda, our amazing chef:
Linda Ross is our Nutritionist Chef with over 15 years’ experience catering for health and wellbeing events around the world. Her wholesome healing plant based meals are crafted using local, seasonal and mostly organic ingredients. Blending ancient nutrient dense foods and contemporary cuisine - each dish is free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar and nutritionally prepared with Love.
